Gletscher Prise snuff is the world's most popular snuff. It is a nasal snuff manufactured by Pöschl Tabak. The name of this tobacco actually means "Glacier Pinch" although it is a rough translation. Gletscher Prise was launched in 1960 in Germany, is was invented by Alois and Wilhelm Pöschl (the sons of the Poschl founding father) and has really proved to be a great hit with snuffers around the world. Gletscher Prise is now broadly exported to the rest of Europe and to the United States.
Gletscher Prise is a light snuff with Colombian menthol oil added, which gives the snuff a strong menthol scent. When speaking to Poschl, they say the taste of Gletscher Prise Snuff has an extraordinary freshness, as if one was taking a breath off a glacier!
