Begun as a family tobacco company in Svendborg, Denmark in 1887, Mac Baren Tobacco has become one of the best producers of fine pipe tobacco in the world today. They offer mixtures that simultaneously offer American blends, combined with methods and high quality of European producers. This Danish company was the first European firm to put American blending styles into their product line. They managed to make light aromatics popular in Europe and non-aromatics - in the U.S.

Mixture was the first aromatic tobacco in the market, it was also the first in a range of three flavors which, in addition to the original Mixture, included Modern and Aromatic mixtures. Mixture contains more than 35 different tobaccos from all the world, each with its own specific qualities. Mixing them in the right proportions creates a splendid aroma and flavor.
Mixture Modern is a milder version of Mixture Modern. Mac Baren wanted to create a pipe tobacco witch would have the same unique flavor and aroma as Mixture, but with a slightly milder taste.
Mixture Aromatic lies between Mixture and Mixture Modern. Compared to Mixture Modern, Mixture Aromatic is a little less sweet, but it still has an outstanding flavor and fragrant scent.
Mixture Flake was considered to have brought a revolution in pipe smoking when it was introduced in 1958. Alike the original Mixture, it consists of 35 different tobacco leaves from different parts of the world.
